Frequently Asked Questions

What are the Hours of Operation of Heartland Tours?

Heartland Tours and Travel is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Heartland Tours offices are generally closed on major holidays.

What are my “travel documents” and when will I receive them?

Your travel documents include luggage tags, a more detailed itinerary of your tour with times and contact information for your hotels, medical release forms and any other documentation that may be necessary for your tour.

These documents will be sent about 10 days before tour departure to travelers who have paid in full. If you have not received your documents within one week of your tour, please notify our office.

Does Heartland Tours do trips to Twins, Vikings or Gopher games?

Twins – Yes, each season, Heartland Tours cheers on the Twins for several games, usually including the Home Opener. Heartland Tours offers tickets and transportation to these games. To ensure your spot in these games, it is best to reserve well in advance. If a wheelchair accessible motorcoach and wheelchair accessible seating is necessary, we must be notified well in advance to coordinate with Twins Ticketing.

Vikings – Heartland Tours does not offer transportation to Vikings games. However, our affiliate Rochester City Lines provides transportation to Vikings games for anyone pulsing with purple pride. Rochester City Lines does not provide tickets.

Gopher – Heartland Tours does not offer transportation to University of Minnesota Gopher games. However, our affiliate Rochester City Lines provides transportation to Gopher games. Rochester City Lines does not provide tickets.

Why is extended tour pricing for a single traveler higher?

Pricing for a single traveler on an extended tour is higher due mostly to hotel costs. The single traveler is not splitting the cost of a hotel room with anyone else while two people who share a room also share the cost of that room.

If you are interested in lowering your cost for single occupancy, Heartland Tours can, at your request, notify other single travelers that you are looking for a roommate. If a roommate is secured, your cost would then be lowered to the double occupancy price.

Can I design a custom vacation just for myself?

While Heartland tours can customize a tour for a group of people, we cannot plan custom vacations for individuals. Individuals and small groups are welcome to join one of our many enjoyable planned tours.

What if the tour is cancelled?

Heartland Tours may cancel any tour at our discretion. If a tour is cancelled by Heartland Tours, any payments from customers will be refunded.
If you paid in credit card, it may take longer to receive your refund.
